Bacterial Conjunctivitis.

Wake up with those eyelids stuck together?
We can assess whether or not you (or a family member) has bacterial conjunctivitis and can provide sufficient treatment.

Conjunctivitis is inflammation of the thin clear tissue that lies over the white part of the eye and lines the eyelid. It can be caused by bacterial or viral infection, or as a reaction to irritants or allergens entering the eye. Typical symptoms are redness, grittiness, and discharge, which may be accompanied by other symptoms. Treatment will depend on the cause.

Treatment is available if it is appropriate after having a consultation with one of our Pharmacists.

Note: Unfortunately we cannot treat children under 2 years of age or people who wear contact lenses. They will need to be seen by their doctor.
